Mandala Art Workshop

A Mandala is a Sanskrit word that means ‘circle’. Mandala is a geometric configuration of symbols that constitutes the cosmos or deities. This art form represents wholeness and a model for the organisational structure of life itself. To give our Circle Members the experience to learn and enlighten themselves about this traditional art form, Rajasthan Studio curated a special Mandala Art Workshop and invited Komal Selvaraj .

Komal Selvaraj is an artist from Tamil Nadu and is an interior designer by profession. She has a different level of enthusiasm for painting. Komal was fascinated by the idea of paints at a very young age. She has been practising art for over 8 years now. She has considerable experience working with different mediums like acrylic oil, watercolour painting, pencil shading, and many more.

Mandala Art Workshop Began

Komal began the workshop with a brief introduction about what is Mandala art. Further, she showcased the Mandala art which they would be doing in the workshop which was called the Board Mandala. The artist then gave details about the tools she would be using for the Mandala art.

Komal then started with the art and with each step was explaining the details, the ways, and method of doing a Mandala. Additionally, she also shared all the insights about Mandala art form. The artist was very interactive with the attendees and was giving brief details about the Mandala which she was making.

Towards The End Of The Workshop

Towards the end Komal showcased few of the Mandala art forms she had done and talked about the ways and methods she used to make them. She spoke to the attendees helping them with their queries and giving them ideas to make their Mandala look more beautiful. The workshop ended with everyone showcasing their artworks.

 The attendees were from different parts of the country. Also, they belonged to different age groups but their love for art brought them together on a single platform. Rajasthan studio as always was successful in connecting artists and curating a magical and positive vibe together.
